   Hi,

   I was able to successfully change the tagline into a image and link it to the homepage.

   The problem that I am having is that there is some type of formatting being applied to the picture that is causing a box and white background to appear behind it when it is a png.

   Here is the code I added to my header to conform the tagline.
   <p class="description"><?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"><img src=/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/logo.png border=0></p>

   This is a client website so I have a maintenance plugin on it so you won't be able to see what I am referring to. Hopefully someone can help. I can't figure out the css to correct this.

   please post a link to your site to illustrate the problem.

   generally, try to work with a web tool such as Firebug http://getfirebug.com/ to identify the involved css selectors.

   basic formatting help is not the scope of this WordPress forum.
