Foreign characters appearing on site but not in editing dashboard

    I have just gone on and deleted and replaced some of the effected content and the characters have been removed. Though I don’t want to have to go through the entire website to do this.

    You will see on the below link, these strange characters are throughout all text.

    Did you edit database using MS notepad/ WordPad? Generally, it happens when transferring MS Word edited text through notepad too. Better use an editor such as Notepad++

    That is a good suggestion. I am not sure if those editing have transferred directly from Word, but will ensure they don’t in the future… but if this is the case… why has this only happened now and for the past several months (since establishment) the content has been fine?

    It happens when you open/edit database using notepad/wordpad (MS) and then export it back to the server (that is as I have observed).

    Is there any way to rectify this without re-entering all content again?
