• Ahoy!

Lame, I know. I built a template for wordpress and I’m going to use it for local advertising. My question is this. I made the template with a top nav and a left side vertical nav. I’ve set wordpress up to add pages auto matic ally to the vertical menu. Now, when I’m adding the labyrinth of pages to the site/(menu) it’s placing them in the top nav bar as well. Noobie question I’m sure, but… how do I keep the top nav separate from the vert nav, when I’m adding pages..and if you’re up for it.. how do you exclusively setup the top nav with the links you want?

I have amish for neighbors. lol 😉

Any help would be GREATLY appreciate.

    Bless.

  • Create a menu in yor admin area, and assign it to the top menu area. Then you can add whatever pages/posts/etc you want to it, and it won’t add pages automatically.

I can’t believe that’s all it took and that telling it ‘top’ put it at the top.

Much appreciated! *bows head in shame*

No shame here. 😉 It takes a while to learn how to do all of these things, and asking questions is how we all learn. You’d be amazed at some of the mistakes I made when I was starting out.

I’ve been doing this for 10 years lol. Kidding 😉

I appreciate it more than you know.

Is there an just as easy way to remove this hint balloon? No idea what it’s called. 😉
