   I just updated to 2.1 and all my posts that have multiple categories associated with them have multiple posts.

   If there is just one category attributed to the post, then there is only one post on the index page, but otherwise there are # of categories = # of posts.

   Ideas?

   Probably you have some kind of customized Loop in your index.php file - otherwise it shouldn't happen.

   Indeed, it was this plugin: Sideblog WordPress Plugin. I simply de-activated it.
