The footer is missing and appears on the right sidebar instead as a footer. It only happens Internet Explorer but works fine on Firefox and Chrome. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

The good news it is ok in IE9. The bad is you can't check for validation errors, http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3a%2f%2fwww.davidtann.net%2f

Usually an error like this comes from some element being too large which pushes the other elements around.

Which version of Internet Explorer is the error occuring in? You can create a custom CSS for certain versions of IE to fix specific problems.

I'm using Internet Explorer 8 and i cannot upgrade to Internet Explorer 9 because i'm not running on Microsoft Vista. I'm using Microsoft Windows XP.

Are there any solutions to keep my footer from appearing on the sidebar?
