    Okay, I’ve actually used the stylesheet from the sister site just to see if it fixes the problem, and it doesn’t. So it’s not simply CSS. I suspect it has something to do with PHP scripts that are spitting out the lists in the sidebars (and so maybe the includes are causing issues – I read about that somewhere?)

    Has anyone ever had similar issues?

    Look, for instance, at #5:

    You have two opening header tags.. consequently everything after that second open tag is going to be in that font size.

    Whooami, you are a scholar and a gentleman/woman. Thank you very much, that fixed it. The page still won’t load in IE 7, but that worries me much less.

    FYI I had validated it, but had a bit of trouble interpreting the results, so only closed all the “errors” and not the warnings 🙂
