• Is there a one click solution to make it easy for readers to follow my blog. I have looked everywhere and can’t see a suitable widget?

What do you mean by “follow” your blog? Links to a Facebook or Twitter page? Facebook Like or Twitter Follow buttons? A link to your RSS feed? A sign-up form for email notifications?

I mean my blog as a one click option

Again, you still need to define what you mean by “follow”. You cannot just “follow” a WordPress.org blog in the same way that you can follow a Twitter account or Facebook page. The core question is: what do you want the effect of the “following” to be?

“Following” has to have a specific consequence: e.g. a user inputs their email address and they will start receiving email notifications of anything you post; or a user clicks a Facebook like button in order to receive updates published on your Facebook page; or a user retrieves the feed URL to add to their preferred RSS reader; or some other outcome.

I am sorry I have not made myself clear – thanks for persevering.

I was wanting to be able to have people be able to subscribe to my blog with one click rather than by having to put their email address in. Is that possible?

Essentially no, because you can’t get the email address of a particular visitor unless they provide it to you in some way – e.g. by submitting their email address in a sign-up form.

Thanks, as I was answering your question I thought that was probably the answer.
Once again thanks so much for persevering on this.
