Fluid Theme, With Graphic Header/Slideshow?

Does such a thing exist?

I’m trying to create a new site for a friend and the idea I had was to scroll a number of appropriate images across the header.

The reason for this is that the theme I want to use is fluid, so it stretches the image in the header to meet the screen width… but if I was to use a number of smaller images in a slideshow, the width is no longer a problem and the images don’t have to be ‘stretched’ so to speak.

At least that’s what I’m thinking, but is it possible. Is there a plugin or theme out there that does this?
