Fluid blue theme: add image on every Page (3 posts)

This theme comes with the Sidebar on the right. I have managed to change it to Left, as I need that. I would like to:
    * Add a corresponding block of vertical colour, same as sidebar but completely empty, as a visual match, preferably just on Pages and not on Posts though this is not essential.

    * Ideally the block should be of variable height to match the displayed height of the sidebar, which varies according to the amount of content on the page, and, presumably, the number of entries in the sidebar (as I am still working with test content I haven't discovered that yet!).

    Please can anyone help?

I'm not sure where you want your block of vertical colour to appear. If you could post a link to your site it would help to visualise what your requirements are.

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply. My test site is:
    http://www.granitefilledwithgrace.com
(GFWG for short). I wanted to have a sidebar purely for aestheetic reasons on the right, with no content.

Not sure if this is the right way to raise this, but since I posted my previous question, I have another, which seems unlikely to be theme related but who knows! I was using this site - spare at the moment - to test before moving all the material to my live site
    http://www.cardsforthepoorest.com

To do this, I uploaded all the theme files I had been using on GFWG to a folder in the themes folder in cardsforthepoorest and invoked it. Everything seems fine - except that the sidebar is not displaying blog categories or posts. They ARE displayed on GFWG, and the theme I was using previously for cardsforthepoorest showed the ones for that blog correctly too. But they have disappeared with the loading of the new theme. The blog entries are still there, and showing in the dashboard, but are not listed in the sidebar. Help!
