• I am having problems w/ flickr accepting my credentials for my wordpress installed blog at: http://www.colorhive.com/journal

Please confirm I am entering the correct information:

    1. go to flickr.com
    2. add a ‘wordpress blog’
    3. api endpoint: http://colorhive.com/journal/xmlrpc.php
    username: *username for wp-admin
    password: *password for wp-admin

Returns results – The username and password you entered were not valid.

    … help greatly appreciated …..
    best – jessica

  • Jessica, I just had the same problem, which is how I found your post.

I eventually solved the problem as follows:

    1. Log in to admin section of WP.
    2. Click on “Settings”
    3. Click on “Writing”
    4. TICK the box which says “XML-RPC Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.”
    5. Click “Save Changes”

    Regards

    Neil

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for the tip. That solves the issue.

    hi there,

    my endpoint is
    http://www.carmenkong.com/wordpress/xmlrpc.php

but flickr said “The endpoint you entered was not correct.”

i have already enabled atom and xml-rpc

    any help??
    thanks heaps!

    cheers,
    carmen

I’ve recently updated to 2.8.4, and I’m having the same “The endpoint you entered was not correct” problem with Flickr. Also atom and xml-rpc posting is enabled. Even tried disabling/enabling just in case.

Would be good to hear from someone in the know 🙂
