Well thought I would post up some feedback for you on the revised plugin. For me v2.3 of the plugin was near perfect. The only things I would have liked to be able to do were:
a) Be able to toggle on and off whether there was a link back to Flickr
b) Add in a class to the image that would accompany each embedded post
In the end what I tended to do was add the images in and then edit the HTML to make it that way.
Unfortunately there's no option in the latest version to not use shortcodes, so the upgrade is a backwards step and creates so much work or me that I might as well not use it at all.
