I have been doing research on flat file blog scripts for an article I was going to right about how some scripts are insecure and I've come across something called FlatPress. And I noticed the structure and look of FlatPress is just lke WordPress.
On the projects page of Automattic.Com it doesn't have any FlatPress linked on it. Is FlatPress affiliated in anyway with WordPress?

Hi!
This is NoWhereMan from FlatPress project.
To ask your question, the project is not affiliated with WordPress, but takes much of its inspiration from WordPress, and even some of the code (FlatPress is GPL'd so, if ever the contirbution might be in two directions, but my code is still a bit messy :P).
The goal is providing a similar user experience and developer facilities (aka Plugins :)) with the same flexibility of WordPress, but on text files, instead of using a database.
The name is intended as an homage to the "real" project
Matt seems aware of this, though :)
As a further proof of our good faith there's even an exporter from FlatPress to WordPress, so if one will ever get the chance to have a DB or just wanted to switch, he will be able to do it
