PeteI had a 'little' php script made for me that serves as a very simple flat file shopping cart - essentually it can be implemented into any xhtml/css template by placing tags anywhere in the body of the html page.
I did some work with the owner of nanocms (a flat file cms) and he integrated the flat file shopping cart script into his flat file cms - it worked well.
I don't know php or coding but i'm pretty sure this flat file shopping cart could be easily made into a plugin that does what no other shopping cart does yet - it has a very simple admin backend that easily adds more products and and an easy way to insert the product tags into a page/post or sidebar.
I was wondering/hoping if someone might like to see the code of this shopping cart and make a plugin for it. I can't pay but I can give you the code to work with under CC.
