Flash Upload Http Error All of a Sudden... (9 posts)

Hi, guys. I have the latest version of WordPress (2.7), and here's my problem: Everything has been working just fine until last week, when my flash uploader just stopped working, and is now giving me "http error" messages. This is very odd, because it's been working since I upgraded to 2.7, and I'm running WordPress on two other sub-sites on my server, and both of them are working fine. It's just on this third site, in the root directory, that isn't working. I can still use the browser uploader, but that's one image at a time, and I tend to upload a ton of images at a time, so it's a bit of a problem.

    Some remedies I've tried:

Added the mod security exempt to my htaccess file. No help.
Downloaded a flash upload plugin fix. No help.

Well, those are the only two I've tried so far. Can anyone offer advice?

The same occurred to me around the same time. I hoped the 2.7.1 upgrade might restore it but no luck.

The same thing just happened to me. I tried everything from this post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164999 and I was hoping when I upgraded to 2.7.1 that the problem would go away but unfortunately it has not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem on a development site.

My problem was that I had the entire site protected using an .htaccess password prompt.
As soon as I disabled this flash upload immideately started working like a charm!

    Dear all,

I had the same problem and I had done everything mentioned in the notes. However, it didn't help.

I found a site teaching me how to solve this problem at the end. I have just tested it and it really worked.

You may have a look of this site:

I hope this can help you. ^-^
