Flash object won't fade, please help! (5 posts)

I have a grooveshark flash object on my blog, but when I call a javascript-type function, the flash doesn't fade with the rest of the page. I think the problem is with the grooveshark flash object, not the javascript, but I don't know for sure.

See topacousticsongs(dot)com and click on the blue play button for any given post - you'll notice the video screen pops up great, but the gs flash object is in the forefront of the video.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

what exactly are you talking about that doesnt fade? ALL i see when I hit the play button is the box, and some smaller rectangular box that doesnt look like it should be fading. its in the way of the video there, but other than that it looks to be working properly

I think he/she might mean it stays in the foreground over the top of the pop-up effect of the video.

This is what I think I am seeing, although I'm not sure if it will help.

    In the "OBJECT" tag; <param value="window" name="wmode"/>

    needs to be <param value="transparent" name="wmode"/>

In the "EMBED" tag, I think changing wmode="window" to wmode="transparent" would do it.

An, unqualified, totally amateur opinion... But it seemed to work when I did it in firebug.

[EDIT] I meant I think both of those changes might be needed to for it to work.
