   Hello,
   I made my first post and now it is on the index page. I want to make the index page to stay like it is now, with my first post only on it. How can I do that? Thank you

   Hmm...copy what's in your post into a page instead. Then you can specify to display that page as the blog front under Settings/Options >> Reading.
