I have bbpress installed on my wordpress site- all is fine, except that the first post in any particular topic is not visible to anyone except the poster. All follow-up comments are visible, though.
I am also using the WIshList plugin and wondered if the user info is conflicting between WL and bbpress?
Frustrating either way, because it's impossible to see the first thought/message in any particular thread!
