   Hi,
   I am very new to creating websites using wordpress.I had a few questions:

   1)Can I first install WordPress on my laptop, select a theme, create a couple of pages.
   2)Now,I choose a domain name, and then host my website?

   Can the process be done in this way or do I have to first get a domain name, and select a hosting site and then download wordpress?

   You can install and create your site on your laptop, but you will then need to move the site to a host - and that can be a bit complicated if you are not familiar with servers, FTP, etc. These articles should provide more info:
