First and Second Front Page widgets side by side in TwentyTwelve

    I have child theme for twenty twelve. Using the (static) front page template. Using Tiny MCE for text in the first and second front page widgets. The widgets are appearing one below the other on the front page, with ~ half-page column widths.
    How can I get the text widgets to appear side by side?
    (I know that this was optional for twenty twelve, but I can’t find a “select option” command anywhere?)
