    hi all ,,,please help

i installed about an hour ago a plug-in called Registered users only , to try and get new users into my site as it is a new website ,

after i installed it i refreshed the site home page and got the following error

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

so i know that its this plug-in that has done it , however i cannot access my blog even from the admin log-in ,,, i have seen stuff which says access via ftp , but i have no idea what this means as this is the first site i have done .......

    Please help ASAp

    regards

    Richie

use your ftp client. delete the plugin files.

ftp clients (READ the docs when all else fails):

It was not rogue plugins in my case. It was a misguided red-redirect (pun intended)
This seems to be especially true if you install wordpress on godaddy. they install wordpress with domain.com as the root directory , not http://www.domain.com. so if you have a re-direct that points domain.com to http://www.domain.com, you could cause an infinite loop when you load the blog. Solution is to temporarily disable the re-direct, edit the root paths in wordpress and then put the re-direct back
For a detailed report on this look at my blog entry on my development blog
