• Greetings.

A few days into learning about WP and I’m loving it; I’ve been scouring the web for themes that I can wrangle into something that will work for what I need. I’ve loaded a ton of themes, some of which I like very much, but MANY of which will not display correctly in Firefox on a Mac OS.

Many of the 2 or 3 column layouts display with the sidebars showing BELOW the main / post column. They do in fact display correctly in Safari on OSX, and in both Firefox and IE on a PC. I’ve checked it on three different Macs.

The offending browser is Firefox V2.0.0.16, OSX 10.5.6

Two themes that don’t work are:
    http://themey.com/free-psd-friday-apples/
    http://www.freewpthemes.net/preview/inbloom

Anyone have any idea what is going on, or seen this before? Are there really that many themes that have not been checked to work on this platform? Can anything be done?

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated…

A small update…. I’ve now checked this on several more Macs running Firefox, with the same problems, same Themes. Are there really that many themes that simply do not work with Firefox / OSX? This is probably happening to 40% of the (many) themes I’ve loaded!

Since the behavior is the same across many themes, written by different authors, this has got to be something fundamental in Firefox that is breaking these themes.

    Ideas?

For anyone’s information…. I believe the problem is that I was inserting code in posts without using code tags.

I still don’t understand how to use them properly, but believe I’m on the right track.

The inserted code seems to be wreaking havoc with my layouts
