• I’ve translated WordPress in Finnish. I would like to put it somewhere publicly available so users can download and betatest it. Where is the right spot? Shall I make it available from my site, or is there a folder where to upload in this site?
I could not get everything translated. I downloaded the WordPressPOT from the Wiki and translated all 644 strings, but still there are some English left in the UI. Is there a newer file with alla strings available somewhere?

  • Hi Stedi,
Thanks a lot for your effort! This is great.
You should add the files to the WP Localization Page on the Wiki (via the “edit” button at the bottom of the page). You could add a link (“preview”) to your site in finnish, maybe to a page that explains (in English or Finnish!) what you have and haven’t done, how, whatever’s important.
In any case, WP is shaping up for the 1.3 release, and I think other localizers and teams are discussing their work already with this perspective in mind.

OK it’s there on the Wiki’s WP Localization Page.
Is there a 1.3 version .pot file somewhere? I could start translating it too.
