Finding the Right Theme (3 posts)

I'm an absolute newbie and I am having trouble even beginning to learn and experiment since I'm not finding a theme I want to work with. (Forgive me if I use the wrong terminology in explaining what I'm searching for.)

I'm looking for a theme that would allow me a to have a grid view on the main/first page. Then upon clicking one of the images you would be taken to a page with a column of text and images (showing a craft tutorial) i.e., image, text, image, text and so on. I am finding themes with a grid view and themes with an alternating image/text view but nothing that combines the two. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your time,
    Julie

the image on the front page that is clicked will go to a new page that you edit.
That page could be laid out as you want:

    Image Text
    Image Text

    Image
    Text
    Image
    Text

    Text Image
    Text Image

So any theme that has a home page that appeals to you will work.

I feared it was that simple. I'm so over-whelmed with the fear of started I've been a bit paralyzed.
