• I need some work done on a site — install I WP and a companion program, inset header into a theme, configure software — about an hour of work, but don’t know where to find qualified help. I tried a freelancer site but was not happy. I thought there was a section here to ask for help but don’t see it.

I can install myself but not to anything else. I am only online about 90 minutes a day. Between emails, research, updating other sites, (one-finger typing due to recent disability) I just can’t do it all.

Where do you suggest I go for help without being asked for $200 by people seemingly unfamiliar with WP?

  • What do you mean by a qualified help?

You can ask for help on here for free but you’ll be waiting for people to respond and hopefully know what you’re after, or if you want to pay someone for help yo ucan try posting on http://jobs.wordpress.net/

Thank you. Under which section do I post? How to seems more for general help running a site, not help with specific theme issues. I would probably be better off installing then asking about configuration, placing header in which file, etc.

There’s a few different areas, so it’d be up to you to decide which one is the most suitable.

If you want to do it yourself you can. If you install the theme then set it up as best you can and then ask questions here then you’ll most likely get help with most things. One big hint is to make your questions as specific as you can. Questions like “How can I move my header image to the right” are going to get more responses then something like “Help me!”.

Snuck on from tablet! Did post as you said in the right place but got incomplete help. That’s why I thought there was a better place to ask — paid if I must — without breaking rules.

Back tonight on laptop to ask here
