   Hi people,

   I apologize if I come off a bit out of my league here, I am newer to WordPress, and I'll be the first to admit that.

   I am looking for a calendar plugin/widget which I can include in the sidebar of my website, where I can add cal items and upcoming events - My twist:

   Is there something out there I could also call into an external site? (by means of the_calendar or something to how you might call the_post or the_date, once you call the header into your external site).

   In other words:
   I run WordPress as a 'news portal' as a separate section of my website and in essence would like to be able to have my staff update calendar events via wordpress, and have the calendar visible on my non-WP homepage.

   Maybe what I'm looking for isn't out there, any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

   You could set up a Google Calendar and embed it into your WP sidebar, as well as your external site. Would that work?

   Thanks for the reply Zoonini!

   I had a quick look around for a plugin which would integrate a google cal and found quite a few, but what I didn't find was one which (maybe via API?) was able to be edited in wordpress (most looked like they just reformatted the calendar and made it a widget, or something similar).

   Are there any out there?
