"Find On Page" Search Plugin (3 posts)

    Hi!

    I have looked around for a plugin that I have yet to find.

    Is there any plugin/JS/php that would replace the browser's ctrl+f feature?

    Basically, I want the user to type what he is looking for in a box, and find the words on the page, but not through the entire site (the same behaviour as a normal ctrl-f)

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    No need for a WP plugin really. Will you be usurping the standard WP search box or this an additional input field?

    You could probably just you this jQuery plugin:

    and call something like this in a docready:

    $('input').keyup(function(){
    	$('*').removeHighlight();
    	$('*').highlight($(this).val(););
    });

    I have NOT tested this.
