It is not coming from WP Core. If you are positive that when all plugins are deactivated (to force this, rename the /plugins/ folder using FTP to /old-plugins/ and test site – rename back after and activate all plugins in proper order, that is make sure any plugins that depend on other plugins are activated in the proper order).
At that point we can state it is from the theme. Switch to another theme to prove.

Thanks for your reply! I like that trick and will use it in the future.
I figured it out.. somehow
I added the Yoast plugin for seo. And Open Graph. These tags were all corrected across the pages and posts!
I used the google authorship test tool and found the property tags were incorrect there to. So I started messing with the 2 plugins above and yea! All better!
