Final tweaks I just can't seem to figure out for launch

I have been learning, tinkering and messing for days. I have had a ton of fun but my eyes are starting to hurt lol. I have achieved a lot and I am almost ready to launch! but there are a handful of things I need to be happy to launch that I just can’t figure out.

My header should be the home button. no need for the one in the sidebar.

The body text of my posts should be white. too dark to see on the background atm.

I need the featured images for the home tiles but i don’t want them to appear in posts, they look tacky.

If I could just have those things worked out I would be happy to call it my first version and put it out to the world
