  • I would if I could but it is being served from my company’s intranet. I may just have to give up hope on this. I do appreciate all the help you have given me thus far.

    Hi,

    ah, ok, I see.

Can you check again if the contents of the three files match those from the GitHub pages?

And, do you see the deactivated plugins in that list?

Also, are you sure that all plugins are shown on one page, or is there maybe a pagination control near the plugins list?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I just downloaded all three files again to a new folder. I’ve now moved that folder to my plugins directory. The plugin is still not showing up.

I’ve cleaned up my plugins directory; I now only have 11 plugins activated and I’ve removed all of my deactivated plugins.

All 11 plugins (as well as before when I had 17 activated plugins) are displayed on one page.

Thank you so much for working with me,
    Brad

    Hi Brad,

thanks a lot for testing all this!

We could try a different method to install the plugin. Instead of loading it to the server manually via FTP, we could try the ZIP upload method in WordPress.
For that, I’d like to send you a ZIP file version of the plugin that I have tested on my site, and that is working nicely. So, please contact me by email, so that I can send you the plugin.

    Tobias

Just a general question. Is this the way you install all other plugins? I have a hard time finding that information.

    Hi,

me? I’m usually installing all plugins directly from the repository (the one click install). On my local dev machine, I sometimes also just install them by copying them to the appropriate directory (similar to the FTP method, but only in the local file system).
For non-local sites, I use the ZIP upload mechanism for plugins that are not in the WP plugin repository.

    Tobias

    sorry for bad english

    Hi,

that’s strange then… Can you maybe contact me via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”), so that I can take a direct look? This should be faster than have to guess.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    for everybody following this thread:

After working with malinator, we found that the problem was that the download didn’t contain the raw data, but the stuff from the Github page around it as well. This probably happened, because my instructions in the thread were ambiguous.
To fix this, install and activate the plugin from https://github.com/downloads/TobiasBg/TablePress-Extensions/tablepress-datatables-multi-filter-select.zip instead of doing it manually.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,
Great extension ! One more question about this (if you need an other thread, don’t hesitate to tell me).

Is it possible to use datatables-multi-filter-select with your Responsive Tables extension ?

I would like to filter my data with dropdown menus in your responsive table, but I don’t no if it’s possible.

    Thanks a lot !
    Best Regards

    Hi Matt,

    thanks for your question.

To be honest, I don’t know, I haven’t tried using both of these together. I can’t really think of a reason why this shouldn’t work, right now. Have you tried it?

If that Multi-Filter-Select Extension does not work, you could take a look at the ColumnFilterWidgets Extension, which will add this: http://datatables.net/extras/thirdparty/ColumnFilterWidgets/DataTables/extras/ColumnFilterWidgets/
To use that, just install and activate http://tablepress.org/download/extension/tablepress-datatables-column-filter-widgets.zip as a plugin and extend the Shortcode to

    [table id=123 datatables_columnfilterwidgets=true /]

(and also leave the desired responsive parameter in it).

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thanks Tobias !
As you can see here, it’s working!
    http://www.ufo-science.com/wpf/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/test1.jpg

But the boxes are not really organised, and I don’t know why.
It’s the same problem when I select a choise :
    http://www.ufo-science.com/wpf/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/test2.jpg

When the window is less big, the boxes have changed location :
    http://www.ufo-science.com/wpf/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/test3.jpg

But when I select a choise, the boxes are not organised :
    http://www.ufo-science.com/wpf/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/test4.jpg

Is it possible to correct this problem ?

    Thanks a lot !

    Matt
