[resolved] filter by category not working in BO (8 posts)

    Hello,

    I use event manager in local and Category filters do not work in the back office. I get "no events found."
    Filters by future or past events are working properly.

    have you ever encountered this problem

    hi,

    it's EM version 5.3.6.1, it works under Mamp.

    I found something, the filter does not work if a category has child categories (subcategories).

    I tried to create an event in a single category, the filter works.

    tested this again and still working okay, can you try dev version 5.3.6.3 ?

    what is back office?

    note that if you search a parent, it won't search children, only the specific category

    thank you for your time.

    after several tests on the latest development version, I noticed 3 things:

    1 - If the categories are composed with more than 4 words, the filters do not work.

    2 - Category names with accents are not filtered.

    3 - I tried to do this:

    category 1
    - Subcategory

    category 2
    - Subcategory

    I tried to apply a filter to "Category 2 - Sub Category", I get the same result as "category 1 - Sub Category"

    see our demo, filters work fine with longer worded categories

    #3, could it be the event is in both categories?
