   I have just set up worpress. I can post items, but the upload files does not work. I can browse to the file I want and choose it, but when I click on 'upload', nothing happens. I have checked permissions, and have even set all folders to 777 but the upload folder remains empty. I know having everything set to 777 is totally unsecure but I am trying everything to get upload to work. I could reduce permissions once I have uploaded the files I need. The files I am trying to upload are jpg files

   I know this is a bit of an obvious one (and apologies if you have been through this) but check that your path to uploads folder is set correctly in the admin panel Options>Miscellaneous - have you set the permissions on the right folders via FTP?

   Yes I had thanks. However my son came up with the answer. I was using Safari and the cache had been disabled. It is now working fine.
