   I've read and done everything in the post about addressing file uploads. The files get uploaded fine to the server, but in the wrong directory. I see everything in /tmp on my dreamhost server. The file url is also http://mysite.com//../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../tmp/image.gif

   had to reset the default upload location and recheck the option to organize the uploads by year/month
