File Upload in Site Admin

    I am having a hell of a time getting Upload to work. I double and triple checked my permissions and directories and am having no luck. I keep getting the message “File of type is not allowed.” which I find to be odd, since I have tried uploading gifs, jpgs, pdfs, etc. (common file types). No matter what I upload, I get the same message. I have adjusted my file size to 5Mb to allow for larger files, but size doesn’t seem to matter since I tried to upload a 5k gif with no luck.

    Any help would be great.

    Make sure under admin panel Options, Miscellaneous that you’ve got the correct Allowed file extensions. There you can also verify your Maximum File Size and Minimum Level to Upload.

    I want to upload PDF and Word files but when I look in Options > Miscellaneous there is no such place to view ehat file types are allowed. I am using WP 2.0
