• My host (GoDaddy) says I have a file repository violation – and the issue is with an ithemes security file. They say:

“It appears the plugin was creating large files at a few high rate, then placing the files in that directory, but never removing the old files. This was negatively impacting the hosting environment, so our administrators removed all but the most recent backups from that directory. Additionally, they disabled that directory, so the plugin could not continue to produce these backups.”

How do I change my settings on this issue?

  • Hi,

On the Settings page in the Database Backups portion you can adjust this. First, you can choose whether your backups are sent to you vis email, saved to disk or both. If you do have them saved to disk you can configure how many backups are to be kept.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the response. The issue they had was this folder and its size:

    Size Directory
    122GB /wp-content/uploads/ithemes-security/backup

I have deleted the contents and have made alternative back up arrangements.
