   Hi,

   Anytime I upload an image through wordpress, I get a broken link for the image. Upon inspection, I find out that the file permission is set to 640 whereas it should be 644.

   Anything I can do to fix this issue instead of manually changing the file permission for each file?

   I'm assuming you're uploading them to wp-content/uploads.

   What is the file permissions for the uploads directory itself? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding. Is the uploads directory set to 640?

   yes it is uploading the image to 640 in wp-content/uploads

   wp-content/uploads is set to 751
