[resolved] Fields Not appearing in excerpt or in Listing view (5 posts)

    Hi there,

In my excerpt view and listing view a lot of the fields are not showing.

The website, telephone number, fax number and email address all do not show. In the manage form fields tab in settings they all appear green with "in excerpt" and "in listing"

Here is a link to website:

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hi cooketsc,

Have you tried eliminating a plugin conflict first? http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

Next, can I see a screenshot of these fields in the Manage Form Fields?

Finally, do these fields have data entered in them? Empty fields are omitted for stylistic reasons.

turns out it is a theme conflict.

    I'm using wpzoom's tribune theme

Is there anything I can do to resolve the problem?

    many thanks

    Hi cooksetsc,

Well, the obvious choice is to switch to a new theme. :) But if you're stuck with that one, you need to find out where the plugin is conflicting with it. Another possibility is to try the beta version and see if we somehow resolved it with the upgrades (doubtful, but it's worth a shot). Finally, you can try contacting the theme developer but in my experience, few are willing to help fix a conflict as they don't believe it's their problem.

We often find that a number of themes have some odd code choices in them, causing these problems inadvertently. WooThemes is a solid choice if you're looking to switch--excellent support, great code, awesome selection of themes.
