• Feedburner Feed Gets Database Error: Error establishing a database connection, but on the site there is no problem accessing posts or pages. It was working fine and now it’s broken and I can’t figure out what is wrong.

I have read all the posts I could find related to this on WordPress and WordPress Codex and Feedburner and cannot figure out what’s wrong.

I have wiped out the .htaccess file, resaved the permalinks and reactivated the feedburner feed several different times.

Using the feedburner plugin.

I’m out of ideas. Please help.

I just ran it through feedvalidator.org and got the following message:

This feed does not validate.
Feeds should not be served with the “text/html;charset=utf-8” media type [help]

line 2, column 1: Undefined root element: xhtml:html [help]

<html xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”>

This is in the header. How can I change this? It looks like something generated automatically in WordPress.

Above message is apprently because the validator is redirected to the Database connection error page.

There is no problem with wp-config, since it works fine in navigating the site and no error there.

Anyone?
