I am trying to add a feed to Feedburner but keep getting this message:
Your feed filesize is larger than 512K. You need to reduce its size in order for FeedBurner to process it. Tips for controlling feed file size with Blogger can be found in Tech Tips on FeedBurner Forums, our support site.

I have tried loads of 'remedies' but keep getting the same message - can anyone help?

I've managed to validate it as a feed but still keep getting the same error.

Is it possible to reduce the size by reducing the number of feeds in WP dashboard configuration ?
Reducing the pics in the feeds will also help ?
I doubt, is it really a size problem. When all my all my blog posts can be procssesed every time, why not this post ?

Hi, I am having the same problem and there is no way my feed size is larger than 512k, it is a new blog and just to be sure i set it to show just one post, here is my comments feed that still gives the error:

Trying doing this: Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading option of
"Syndication feeds show the most recent"
change this value down to a low number like 3

Also, under
Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading option
set
"For each article in a feed, show"
change this from "full text" to "summary"

I'm having this problem too. I changed setting to summary, number of feeds to 3 but STILL getting this error. It was working great and now Feedburner is telling me it's wrong. (HATE Google's Feedburner...I've lost over 700 subscribers in a week.)
Any suggestions?

I have this problem, as well, and also with Twitterfeed saying it's not valid. One day worked, next day not :(

Has anyone resolved this? It seems like a common and ongoing issue, yet I haven't been able to find a solution for it anywhere.
if feeds are valid and usually much lower than 512k and 100's of people are having this problem, I think if I used feedburner, I would be asking this of them - a lot
I don't see any way for a wordpress solution to this as wordpress serves the feeds just fine

What's not clear to me is that when I go to feedvalidator, and type in any of the following:
http://www.thecandiedgrill.com/?feed=rss2
http://www.thecandiedgrill.com/feed/atom/
or the burned feed
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheCandiedGrill
None of these feeds show my most recent post. I would think that if Feedburner is going there to the /?feed=rss2 or /atom/ to check, shouldn't it be at least updated? That seems like a possible WordPress issue.
Then, on a separate front, if Feedburner is falsely categorizing my filesize as over 512K -- then that is a Feedburner issue.
I've also been wondering if the cause is related to any of the following:
1. My blog is in it's own directory (not the root directory)
2. There's a plug-in causing a caching issue, or redirecting Feedburner back to itself for some kind of loop leading to excessive size; or
3. FeedBurner really is the issue.
Being one or 2 posts behind lately is nothing new with feedburner

that is certainly possible but easily testable - deactivate all plugins and activate one by one, testing in between

that's my leaning since it happens on many many blogs with small, valid feeds

Hmm. Am I missing something here?
When I click on your "this validation" link, I get a message that says "Sorry this link does not validate, line 13, column 151: Undefined feed element: feedburner:info."
Also, the latest post on my blog is "The Candied Grill Concept" and the first post I see at the W3 validator is the older post, "Top 10 Reasons to Own a Charcoal Grill" (Line 18). So, this is also one post behind, right?
Also, is the activating of the plugins immediately testable? I did, recently, deactivate everything, but the problem persisted. Should I be giving a certain number of hours before reactivating?
Sorry, I've just gotten completely confused about what's going on with this -- which seems like a basic function of a blog that should be straightforward. I will continue to seek help from the FeedBurner end. I agree that's likely where the problem is.
This thread has me concerned I won't be able to get much of a response from FeedBurner/Google.
