[resolved] FeedBurner Email link: How to select a different language? (5 posts)

    Hello!

In Atahualpa's Theme Options > RSS Settings, I have successfully set the FeedBurner E-mail functionality. But the problem is, most of my subscribers don't understand English. So, I would really like to be able to show my readers a FeedBurner window in another language (supported by FeedBurner) when they click on the Email link.

Is there a way for me to accomplish this trick?

    THANK YOU!

You can choose a different FeedBurner "skin" in your language from the Feedburner site.

Thank you Scribu, for your kind answer!

The truth is that ordinarily, I would have known how to proceed. But in this particular theme (Atahualpa) there a set of Options which allow you to show a specific icon and link to Feedburner in the Header, just by inputing your Feedburner ID. But that link is to Feedburner in English.

I am given the option to hide the Feedburner icon/link in the header, and I can always set up a form/link to Feedburner via Widgets. I would, however, like to make use of the optional header icon and link to Feedburner, if only I could figure out how to bypass the Theme's Options pre-setting.

    Thank you once again.

The Atahualpa Theme has a very neat FeedBurner Email icon that can be conveniently displayed on the right side of the Logo area.

To bypass Atahualpa's Options pre-setting in this case, just go to atahualpa/functions/bfa_header_config.php and find the following at Line 117:
    $bfa_ata_feedburner_email_id . '&loc=' . get_locale() . '"

    and replace with:

    $bfa_ata_feedburner_email_id . '&loc=en_US"

where en_US can be replaced with es_ES for Spanish, pt_BR for Portuguese, fr_FR for French, de_DE for German and jp_JP for Japanese.

Please note that the single quotes at ' . get_locale() . ' ,above, must be deleted as well.

    UPDATE:

On Atahualpa Version 3.3.2, go to /functions/bfa_header_config.php and replace Line 141 with the following:

    $bfa_ata['feedburner_email_id'] . '&loc=en_US" title="' .

where en_US can be replaced with es_ES for Spanish, pt_BR for Portuguese, fr_FR for French, de_DE for German and jp_JP for Japanese.
