Feedburner and WP self hosted question (5 posts)

Ok i have another super quick question, (sorry)

If i have feedburner, do i need to put the feedburner address in instead of my normal feed into the 'links' section.

For example, my "orange button links" currently point to http://www.sarahketleyauthor.com/feed/

Do i need to replace these with:

    http://feeds.feedburner.com/sarahketleyswritingblog ??

Sorry for the newbie question, I was hoping this would fix the problems i'm having with some people not being about to subscribe to the feeds.

Any ideas, or am i being silly.

    Many thanks,

    Sarah

  2. You could put the feed in manually in your theme, but I find using a plugin works better and is easier to maintain. That way any reference to your WordPress generated feed URL will lead people to the right location.

I use this one myself, there are others.

So if that is the case, i keep all the feeds on my site as the standard WP ones (without the //feeds.feedburner part. Then the plugin changes everyone through to Feedburner itself?

    Is this correct?

My theme has a spot for me to put in a specific feed address, (i assume feedburner will work) which i have now done.

    what do you think?

    the site is here

    http://www.sarahketleyauthor.com/

    Many thanks for your reply,
    Sarah

Yep. You got it in one.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other... it's a matter of preference. Every two years or so I switch themes and don't want to remember settings like that. That's why I use a plugin; but you may find it easier to just use the theme option.
