superrobotomonkeyIts just occurred to me that my blog no longer validates according to W3 specifications. Just under two weeks ago I upgraded to wordpress 3.1, which was a bad move, as my theme wasn't compatible with the new version. So, I followed the steps in downgrading to the previous verions of wordpress (3.0.5) and re-importing the backup I made before trying to upgrade to 3.1.
My site now has weird symbols in the posts (question marks in diamonds), which I think is being caused by a mismatch of character sets in the database. Currently, the posts table is set to latin1_swedish_c1, which almost every other table is utf-8.
I wonder if when I imported the backup, it imported as latin1 instead of utf-8?
Re: my feed, I don't really know why it broke, also don't know what I can do to fix it.
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
