[resolved] Feed will not display (14 posts)

    Hello,

My feed will simply not display anything. No html for the feed is being generated. The cached json file contains an empty array. I am receiving no error messages or entries in my error log. I checked the permissions on the cache folder, and tried several variations of the short codes.

I'm on wordpress 3.5.1, Facebook feed grabber v0.8.

I installed the plugin, activated it, created an app on the facebook developer area, plugged in the keys, added my default page id, and added the shortcode to my page. No dice.

I'm not sure what to try next. Please advise.

Also FYI. Now and then, when I refresh the page the hourglass keeps spinning.

May I have a link to the feed you're wanting to display?

    http://www.facebook.com/autobionix

I know the id is either 455268471200270 or 462366550490462 (I keep switching between both because i'm not sure)

The wordpress page i'm testing this on is located at http://autobionix.com/autobionix-feed/

Thank you in advance for your time.

I plugged in a different page id and the feed came up. I'm not sure why the autobionix feed is having issues.

    To clearify:

My feed does not show up.
    http://www.facebook.com/autobionix

    But this one does.
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gtechniq/267477343271884

The only difference I can see between the pages is the custom URL.

    Please Advise.

    That worked like charm.

Where did you pick up that feed id?

I used the graph API Explorer to get it based off of your username. It appears to be time to update how to get the feed ID. Or I may change things so that the plugin will get the feed ID based on a username.

I know this post is older but is right up the ally of what I need to know. I installed the plug in and found that if I use the feed ID given by bonneri the plug in works (and obviously shows joshuallivesay's webpage. My problem is that I need to get the feed id for a group that I belong to, not my personal page. I am an administrator of the group. I had to create the app using my personal page as I couldn't figure out how to do it through the group, but it seems this doesn't matter because I was able to make joshua's feed show up.

Here's my question, how do I get the feed ID for the following group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NewburghProfessionalBA/

    Any help greatly appreciated!
    Sue

    Hey there,
I haven't ever looked the ID up for a group… I ended up using this website to find it: wallflux.com/facebook_id/. I found your group ID to be '335007559864423'.

Sorry it was so difficult. I need to make an easier way to get the ID of such things.

Thank you - making progress here - but there are no messages showing - just the link to the facebook page. http://www.newburghpba.org/ Any thoughts on this>

Found the answer, the following was checked in the settings

Limit to posts from feed. When checked the posts displayed will be limited to those posted by the page who's feed is being retrieved.

    Again, thanks for your help!

I was just about to ask if that was the case! Glad you got it figured out. :)
