   In 2.8.1 wp-includes/feed-rss2.php is calling the_content() not the_content_rss().

   Why?

   feed-atom.php is too.

   Did I post this in the wrong forum? Really curious about this because I find it misleading – the_excerpt_rss() gets called, but not the_content_rss().

   I'm also curious about this. Why is the_content_rss not used in rss2 or Atom feeds when other rss filtered data is used?
