    Hi Kalerunner,

    Thank you for letting me know. I had a look and it seems this was one of the API servers struggling and not related to any updates. My own sites had a similar list of connection timeouts.

    There was no unusual demand and it only effected one of the servers, so I have restarted it and it seems to be okay now. Can you let me know how it goes for you?

    I will monitor the APIs closely today to make sure this has been fixed. Thank you again for letting me know!

    Hi Peter, Im having the same exact problem like Kalerunner

    do you have any advice ?

    thanks

    Hi quarantus,

    Are you still getting connection timeouts? I haven’t seen any since yesterday when I restarted the server causing problems.

    yes

    I’ve tried to disconnect and reconnect but it still give me the time out.

    what information do you need to help me solve this ?
    the website link is http://cultureandinformation.asean.org

    Hi quarantus,

    Sorry you are having problems. Was this working previously and stopped in the last few days? Or is this a new install?

    I cannot reproduce the API not responding and I cannot see any trace of it having problems at the moment.

    it was working and its stops

    The error message is exactly the same as Kalerunner.

    was trying to deactivate and reactivate but still.

    Hi quarantus,

    Okay, then it is likely to do with the API and not with your website/install. I will see if I can reproduce issues with the API by connecting from various different locations.

    It could also be a temporary networking issue meaning your server cannot contact my API, but that seems unlikely at the moment.

    If anyone else is having the same issue, please let me know. Ideally with where your server is located and which company it is with.

    Hi quarantus,

    While I remember, would you mind checking the plugin settings page: Settings -> Kebo Twitter Feed. There should be an API Status box in the top right. Once the page loads it will check the connection to the API and turn green or red, depending on the result. Does this turn red as we would expect?

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your prompt respond.

    Yes it was appearing red about an hour ago, but at the time I check it again (5minutes ago) and now it didn’t appear, so there is no status box.

    but below the “debug tweet data” link I got this :

    API Status
    23.239.13.127 Error

    Other data (if you need them)

    Debug tweet data :
    {“expiry”:1400577483}

    Twitter API error Log :
    08:04:48 – May 18, 2014 1 connect() timed out!

    Hi quarantus,

    Thank you for all the information, it looks like you haven’t had a connection timeout for two days, which means that issue probably is resolved now.

    Looking at the debug tweet data, I think that is the problem. It is stuck with just the expiry time instead of having Tweet data and an expiry time.

    If you click ‘Save Changes’ on the plugins settings page, it should flush this out and that should get the plugin back to working order.

    Let me know if that works or not!

    Hi Peter,

    I did twice, it still doesn’t work same debug data too

    uh oh the debug data changed

    {“expiry”:1400580803}

    Hi quarantus,

    Then it is not getting the data from the API properly, but there are no errors being logged. This doesn’t seem to be like any of the other problems I have encountered.

    You mentioned there was no status box? It should always appear regardless of whether or turns green/red? It should be in the top right corner and begins grey until it has checked the status. Is it there now?

    Hi Peter

    No box appearing, I’ve tried to uninstall it and reinstall it,

    I have lost all the logs that I have mention it in the prev. message but I still got this API error message (not in the Box)

    API Status

    23.239.13.127 Error

    and Debug data :
    {“expiry”:1400585052}

    uh oh now the box appeared in red !
