I have a WP multisite install that for the past month hasn’t been updating the feed for any of the sub blogs. I use domain mapping for the sub blogs. I’ve looked all through the Feedburner plubin I was using to redirect the feed, and don’t see anything there causing the issue. I’ve disabled it and you can see that this website: http://www.hospitalemrandehr.com/ and its feed aren’t in sync: http://www.hospitalemrandehr.com/feed/

Basically all the multisite blogs stopped updating their corresponding feed about a month ago (probably when I upgraded to 3.3.1, but I can’t remember that far back).

I find it particularly odd that the RSS feed can’t grab the post when it displays fine on the site. I’m not sure how WP generates the RSS feed though.

Any thoughts or suggestions on things I could try or test would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I was disabling all the plugins so I could see if it was a plugin conflict. When I disabled them, it lost a bunch of the rewrite rules for some reason.

I then put the rewrite rules back into the .htaccess file and tested the feed and it was working. So, I activated the feedburner plugin and had it ping the site and now the feed is updated.

Not sure if the rewrite rules were part of the problem or one of the other plugins. I’ll have to keep an eye on it for a little while to see why this happened. The other feeds in the MU install have refreshed too.

Looks like it was WP Super Cache causing the problem. I had the same issue again, but then disabled it and it worked. Then, I started digging into WP Super Cache’s config and it looks like I had to change it from “Use PHP to serve cache files.” to “Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files.” and I think it’s working now.

I still need to test, but I need some new posts to be created to really test it.
