[resolved] Feed errors from blank Length attribute (4 posts)

Here is the feed for my podcast series: http://connector.obssr.od.nih.gov/?feed=podcast&podcast_series=obssr-the-connector-podcast-series. I cannot submit the feed to iTunes because of validation errors. On Feed Validator, I receive the error that the length attribute must be a positive integer. Right now there are five instances of length = "". I have tried manually setting the file size value of each podcast to the number of bytes as an integer, and I have also tried leaving the file size blank to automatically calculate the size. Neither is successful. How can I set the length attribute so my feed will validate?

Because the length attribute is the file size in bytes, things should be working fine for you if you enter the data in manually. That being said, you should enter the file size data in this kind of format: 12.83M. If you have manually added the file size to each episode and the length attribute in the feed is still empty then it could be a caching issue on your site. I have also created a fix for this, so there is a fallback if the filesize is not populated when the feed loads. Simply open up templates/feed-podcast.php and replace its contents with the contents of this file: https://github.com/hlashbrooke/Seriously-Simple-Podcasting/blob/master/templates/feed-podcast.php - I will release this as an update to the plugin, but for now that should sort things out for you if things are really not working.

Pleasure - I'm glad it helped. I'll be releasing an update to the plugin soon that includes this little fix.
