I never plan on leaving WordPress; it's easily the best CMS around. That said, with all the obvious improvements (great improvements, indeed) why has this one been added? I desire to offer a full feed but can't do so (without a plugin) if I'm going to use the '<!--more-->' tag in my posts. Slightly frustrating though not something I'd raise a fuss over. I'd just be interested to know the reasoning behind it.
Out of curiosity, what version?
I'm on 2.1 and just noticed this. Darned if I'm positive, but I didn't think my feeds were split on <!--more--> before 2.1.
Thanks Kaf - then I'm with the OP a bit... is this desired behavior or an oops, I wonder?
I'll have a run at searching Trac in a bit, but if you have any light to shed, that'd be groovy. :-)
Well nuts, a bummer: http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2582
Guess I need to find a plugin to "fix" that. I see <!--more--> as part of presentation. Not as part of my feed.
Ha - you snuck in a link to the plugin. :-D

Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
