BuddyPress Activity Plus
[resolved] Feed all Buddypress media activity into one gallery? (3 posts)

Hi there! Is there a way (or a shortcode to use) to display all media uploaded in one gallery, still showing the member who posted it and the text?

The reason I ask is that I am trying to create a separate Activity Feed that I can setup masonry style and I believe I can do this using the [gallery] shortcode.

Alternatively, do you have any suggestions or plugins to use to style media uploaded in masonry style, with infinite scroll (similar to Pinterest) whereby the feed will contain pictures and posts from members with the post/pic inside a shape/border.

    Thanks!
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,

    I hope you're well today! :)

Currently, the plugin doesn't include any gallery type features, I'm afraid.

For galleries, you might want to consider this:

For infinite scroll of the activity stream, you could try this:
    https://github.com/bphelp/bp-auto-load-activity

It's not quite like Pinterest as it's just a method to auto-load activity stream posts. But it's a possible solution for infinite scrolling.

Perhaps one of those may help?

Please feel free to ask if you have questions, we're happy to help. :)

    Cheers,
    David

    Hi there @Andrea,

Taking a quick look back at this, I realized, we had a recent article on our blog regarding a masonry layout for blog posts:
    http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/add-masonry-grid-layouts-to-your-wordpress-site-with-just-css/

I suspect you could adapt that for use with the BuddyPress activity stream, though it's not something I've delved into myself.

I see you've posted regarding it here as well:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/masonry-effect-with-buddypress-activity-feed

If the solution you mentioned wouldn't work for you, perhaps the above CSS one would?

    Hope it helps. :)

    Cheers,
    David
