Featured Slider not working in Dance Floor theme by Gorilla

    Hello,

    I can’t seem to get more than one featured article to show on the Featured Slider on the homepage on the Dance Floor theme by Gorilla Themes (despite having added multiple featured articles and selecting a featured image for each).

    Also, Video slider isn’t working at all – though, videos show beneath the blank slider.

    Anyone know how to fix these issues?

    I’ve thoroughly perused the documentation and appear to have configured everything properly. Can’t get a response from Gorilla!

    Gorilla should be helping you as this is a pro theme and part of the price includes support. It’s difficult for us to help without being able to download the theme to look under the hood.

    A few ideas if the theme is using thumbnails to set the feature image:

    1) Ensure the post has a properly sized feature image inserted.
    2) Make sure the category of your post is the one required for the Featured Slider.
    3) Check the theme options to see if there are any home feature slider options to set. For example ensure the slider is not setup to show just one image, and that the category is the same (if you can set it in the options menu)as the one you used in the posts.

    Some home page sliders do not use the thumbnail technique so the above may not work either. But it is the most popular.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I purchased the essential pack (which doesn’t include support) as I’ve set up dozens of sites with no problems. I’ve tried asking if I could upgrade or pay for their help but no response.

    I’ve tried all your suggestions. Even added their demo material back into the slider and those won’t show either. There aren’t many customizing options available on this theme…

    I could send you a copy of the theme files if that’s helpful.

    I was able to get the slider working, pending an issue. Let me know if yo u are still not able to get it to show up.

    I do have a problem with the slider loading the images that are set as featured images. The first load of the site everytime doesn’t display more than about 20px of height of the image in the slider.

    If i refresh the site it will then show the full image. Does anyone have a workaround for this or a solution?

    It seems it must be something wrong in the javascript that is determining the image height during first load.
