Featured Members?

    Hello all!

    Does the PmPro plugin have a way to show or flag “featured” members?

    I would like to set some of my members as featured or preferred, then show them in a special page or slider. (eg If I have instructors giving classes, I want to be able to promote some instructors on my front page by making them featured.)

    Any thoughts or suggestions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    This would be possible by using two different membership levels (one for featured members and one for free members). You could then query those users under the “featured” level and display them accordingly.

    @ampedupdigital, PMPro isn’t really about the “members” side of things. It’s great at restricting access to premium content (paywall) but it doesn’t have community functionality. From what you described you may want to search for another plugin to handle that part. BuddyPress has some good user profile screens, or this plugin (which I’ve never used) may get you further along with what you’re looking for: http://codecanyon.net/item/user-profiles-made-easy-wordpress-plugin/4109874
